i always have a hard time shading with different colors >_< how do you do it?

Well for the shading of this picture, I just did like I usually would but in a very saturated dark purple colour, then I set the layer blending mode to 'multiply' or 'burn' (one would look better than the other depending on the colour you chose)

For the glow of the wand I just used one layer of purple-pink airbrushing then another layer of white to make the whole thing pop (with both layers set to 'overlay')

The suit and the line work aren't completely grey or black, they are dark purple. So basically if you want to shade a picture in one colour never use plain black, grey, or white (unless you set the layer to overlay)

Also make sure the background (if it is plain like mine) is in a similar colour to the one you used for shading. But then again I'm no professional so maybe my advice isn't the best to follow ;w; oh well I hope I helped

Ps. I use Firealpaca to draw, it's a free program but it's so good

i'll definitely try that sometime! but i use MSpaint so i'll try doing that once i get firealpaca! ^^
